Served on AZ Acupuncture State BOE from Jan./2004-Jan./2010, including two terms as Chairperson.
Provides the integration of acupuncture at Reproductive Health Center (Tucson), for the treatment of infertility.
Lic. Acup. Supervisor for La Frontera Behavioral Health Services Acu-Detox Specialists, as well as for Desert Star Addictions Recovery Center, both in Tucson.
Research fellow in two NIH sponsored studies (‘95 and ‘99) with University of Arizona Psychology Dept., Dr. John Allen, on the use of acupuncture for depression. Also participated in a small pilot study with La Frontera Behavioral Health Services, Dr. Pat Penn, on the use of auricular acupuncture stimulation for co-occurring disorders with addictions.
Travel to Central America and Chiapas Mex., w/ Acupuncture International Brigade (formerly named Honduras Healing Recovery Project) to do volunteer teaching to medical personnel, in the use of acupuncture for PTSD and to set up free community clinics for underserved populations of hurricane victims, and including war refugees, and others.
Also organize participation of volunteers for local veterans events, health fairs, crisis relief work, as well as organize continuing ed workshops, in Tucson.
